The Norwich City Football Club made official through its social networks the signing of the Panamanian defender, José Códoba.
The 23-year-old defender will be the club’s first signing of the summer window, and the first signing under new coach Johannes Hoff Thorup.
Speaking to canaries.co.uk, Córdoba said: “I see Norwich as a family, and I was looking for something like that. “The idea of the club and the feeling went directly to me and I felt I had to make this decision.”
Sporting director Ben Knapper added: “We are delighted to welcome José and his family to Norwich City. He is a player we have been following for a long time and we believe he fits very well with what we are looking for.
“As a person, he is extremely impressive, and showed a great desire to join us here and be part of our great club.
«On the field, his combination of technical ability and athleticism gives him a great foundation, and we feel he still has big steps to take in his development.
“Under the guidance of Johannes, along with the rest of our staff, we are confident that we can help you achieve your potential.
“We are all very excited to be working with José.”
The transfer is subject to international clearance and approval by the FA and EFL when the transfer window opens on Friday, June 14.
