After a meeting, the importance of maintaining constant communication with the Boyacá Emergency and Emergency Regulatory Center and activating hospital emergency plans was determined.

Tunja, June 21, 2024 (UACP). Within the framework of attention to road accidents, the Boyacá Emergencies and Emergencies Regulatory Center (CRUEB) coordinated a meeting with relief organizations from the province of Ricaurte (alto) to articulate actions to improve communication, attention and timely response to victims of road accidents.

Felipe Moreno Pedraza, CRUEB support professional, explained that the meeting, led by the Boyacá Health Secretariat, had the objective of coordinating urgent and emergency care actions with relief agencies to provide efficient care to the victims of road accidents when required.

He highlighted the importance of maintaining constant communication with the CRUEB, in addition to articulating the coordination between that regulatory center and the relief agencies and health institutions, as well as activating hospital emergency plans and Municipal Strategies for Emergency Response ( EMRE).

Manuel Arturo Fonseca Ramírez, director of Risk Management of the Colombian Red Cross, Boyacá section, pointed out, meanwhile, that technical tables are being held with entities of the Departmental Risk Management System, coordinated by the CRUEB. These allow us to articulate actions to be prepared for possible emergencies in the different municipalities and guarantee a timely response to events that may occur in Boyacá.

“This is an essential action to optimize operations and ensure an effective and coordinated response to any eventuality,” said Manuel Arturo Fonseca.

The CRUEB, relief organizations, the Departmental Unit for Risk Management of Boyacá, ITBOY, the Red Cross, the Volunteer Fire Department of Tunja and Arcabuco, the Mobility Directorate, the San Francisco de Villa Hospital participated in the meeting. de Leyva, the Moniquirá Regional Hospital and the ESE Arcabuco.
