The Network of High School Students of Italy today expressed its solidarity with Cuba and denounced the hostility of the United States, in the final declaration of the V Congress of the organization, which met in Rome.
The members demanded the end of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Cuban people, an action that they described as unjustified, unacceptable and terrible, which violates the guarantee of human rights, reported the Prensa Latina agency, in a dispatch dated Italian capital.
The document, signed by the coordinator of the Network, Ricardo Virgili, states: “Cuba, the island example of virtue, after more than 60 years of the Revolution, continues to be for us today a glorious example of the fight for justice, peace , freedom”.
He criticizes the inclusion of Cuba in the list of countries supposed to sponsor terrorism, ensuring that it is a measure aimed at further suffocating the Cuban economy, and alleges that whoever implements it, the United States, is the author of wars and destruction in the world. , and without any legitimacy for an action of that type.
During the event, the note states, Marco Papacci, president of the National Association of Italy-Cuba Friendship (Anaic), spoke, highlighting that young Cubans live under the daily difficulties caused by the blockade and, despite everything, they are happy. , fighters, revolutionaries, educated, and today they occupy many positions in the country.
