What is Young Summer?

That is Young Summer, an initiative designed for boys and girls between 18 and 30 years old who want to make the most of their vacation by traveling to different destinations at very low prices. It doesn’t matter if you are more of a beach or mountain fan, national or international tourism, the objective is the same: to facilitate and promote young people to enjoy the summer with discounts on the main transport operators.
Which are the requirements?
To be able to enjoy the Summer Young 2024 bonus you must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Have between 18 and 30 years at the time of application (i.e., having been born between January 1, 1994 and December 31, 2006).
- Nationality: be Spanish citizen or legal resident in Spain.
How to request the Summer Young 2024 bonus?
The bonus will be available from June 15 on the website of the Ministry of Transport, where to check in to verify that the requirements are met. Once the personal data form is filled out, you will obtain a code which will be the one used every time you want to travel. This code must be entered in the purchase process and must be requested at least 24 hours before for the discount to be applied. Eye! It is crucial to register as soon as possible, as places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. It must be remembered that the Summer Youth voucher will be valid for traveling through Spain and Europe between July 1 and September 30, 2024.
Discounts up to 90%
These are the train and bus services in which the Young Summer bonus discount can be applied:
Buses
- 90% discount on companies like Bus, Keep it up and some lines of Interbus.
Trains
- 90% discount on conventional medium distance services and metric gauge networks.
- 50% discount on single titles Avant.
- 50% discount, with a maximum of 30 euros per ticket, for long-distance or high-speed services from all railway operators. That is, discounts can be requested for Ouigo, Renfe/Avlo and Iryo.
- 50% discount on Interrail Global Flexible of 10 days in 2 months, when marketed through Renfe. The discount is applied to the official Interrail fares, with their price characteristics according to age, etc.
You cannot purchase more than one round trip with the same origin and destination per day on the same railway or bus company.
