A 17-year-old girl died yesterday in the heart of our city when the motorcycle she was driving collided with a car on the corner of 9 de Julio and Deán Funes.
The road accident took place at 6:20 p.m. yesterday when, for reasons that are being investigated, a collision occurred between a 110 cubic centimeter Honda Wave and a Renault Clio, which was driven by Jorge Nahuel Elkfury, 30 years old, residing in our city. .
The smaller vehicle was driven by Camila Tatiana Domínguez, residing in the San José de Calasanz neighborhood.
The young woman, 17 years old, was traveling on her motorcycle along 9 de Julio Street from south to north.
The motorcycle was traveling on 9 de Julio Street from south to north, while the car was traveling on Deán Funes from east to west.
After the impact, the teenager flew several meters to fall on the pavement and lose her life.
At the scene, emergency medical personnel were established, who confirmed the death of the young woman, who would not have had her helmet on.
As a result of the impact, the car’s bumper came off and was almost on the northwest sidewalk.
By directives of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Judicial Police personnel carried out the investigations to try to determine the circumstances of the serious incident.
The body of the deceased young woman was taken to the morgue of the San Antonio de Padua Hospital to perform the corresponding autopsy.
At the scene, personnel from the Municipality’s Traffic area carried out a breathalyzer test on the driver of the car, with negative results.
Antecedent
The last fatal accident in our city was recorded on May 23 on Buteler Boulevard and Lope de Vega Street when a teenager lost control of the motorcycle he was driving and hit a public lighting pole.
Valentín Giraudo, 16, died at the scene.
At the time of the accident, the teenager was driving a 110 cubic centimeter Motomel Blitz that ended up against the public lighting pipe, located in the sector.
The minor, who played in the lower soccer divisions of Sportivo Atenas, died from trauma to the chest and head area.
A third vehicle was not involved in said road accident, confirmed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
