The mother of young Jay Slater, who disappeared in Tenerife, has promised to stay on the island “as long as it takes”, as a new sighting of her son is being investigated.

Debbie Duncan continues to believe her son may have been kidnapped. Speaking to MailOnline, Debbie, 55, revealed that new clues had been provided about her son’s case: “Someone has come forward to say they saw someone they thought was Jay walking along a road sitting on a bench, in Teno.”

According to his statements to the British newspaper, two men would have seen him and would have been in contact with him ten hours after the time he was last confirmed seen. “I’m going to stay here as long as it takes.”

They raise money

Meanwhile, a fund has been created on the GoFundMe platform that already reaches 25,000 pounds to be able to pay for the costs caused by the event.

The United Kingdom Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement of support to the young man’s family and is working in coordination with the Island’s authorities to try to find his whereabouts to the best of its ability.

The young Jay Slater traveled to the Island to enjoy a music festival in San Miguel de Abona and, after meeting other people, he ended up in another home, but very far from his apartment.

In the last contact he established with his friends, with very low battery on his phone, he realized that he had not been able to catch the bus, he was walking without knowing where he was and he was very thirsty. Six days later, he continues the mystery.
