The two large commercial areas of Yopal opened spaces so that dozens of young people could exhibit and offer for sale items manufactured by them, with which they aspire to integrate into the regional economy through their ingenuity.
During the festive long weekend, visitors to the Gran Plaza Alcaraván and Morichal Plaza shopping centers witnessed the first two versions of the youth entrepreneurship fair, an activity aimed at promoting and recognizing the productive capabilities of new generations and promoting entrepreneurial ideas that allow to improve the quality of life of young people.
The fair, promoted by the municipal administration, was evaluated as successful, since sales exceeded six million pesos, which represent a reward for the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of young people, who through these projects acquire the experience that allows them build an independent life plan, contributing to the social construction and economic growth of the municipality.
Because it is a contest directed by young people, the spaces were accompanied by a cultural agenda full of activities from and for this sector of society, including freestyle, breakdance, hip hop, rap and other musical genres, reflecting the vibrant youth culture and its capacity to express yourself authentically and powerfully.
The support of visitors and buyers was essential to empower and promote this brave generation that positively transforms society.
Fabián Josué Meridiano Mejía, Youth Director of the Ministry of Social Development, thanked the managers of the shopping centers for opening their doors to this initiative, as well as ABC Colombia for joining with its narrative and sound laboratory strategy ‘Orinoco Sin Fin ‘, where all the businessmen stood out for their talent and dedication, as well as those who accompanied this event with their artistic and cultural displays.
