Through the Directorate of Investment and Trade of the Secretariat of Business Development, the aim is to bring Boyaca products to new markets.

Tunja, June 22, 2024. (UACP). Among the main actions that the Directorate of Investment and Commerce of the Secretariat of Business Development has been carrying out, the intersectoral work to organize the ‘Invest in Boyacá’ projects stands out, among which the proposal to connect with the internet stands out. of the best quality every corner of the department.

The goal is that from urban areas to the sidewalks of the municipalities they can connect, as this results in opportunities to be part of the advances and changes that marketing presents in an increasingly globalized world.

“Thinking about possible export processes has led us to identify some very good products in our department. The avocado, from the West of Boyacá; the soursop in Tununguá; Passion fruit (at this time we are delimiting the municipalities where it is grown) and Tahitian lemon are products that, thanks to their quality, can be quite competitive in the market,” mentioned Cindy Yohana Bohórquez, Director of Investment and Trade.

Another product that has a great export projection is meat, for this reason, the management team visited the Guateque meat processing plant in search of the best options for Boyacá to be a power in the export of matured meats, taking into account that this is one of the most exported products worldwide.

The value proposition focuses on select cuts and the livestock potential present in various areas of the department.

“Finally, we are going to work on the creation of an Internationalization Table, as a team with the Casa de Boyacá, with the guidance of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism that indicated all the steps to begin to consolidate this space. We are already identifying the actors that can be part of it. “We are going to be able to bring Boyaca products to the best markets worldwide,” the director stated.
