After days with significant increases, the dollar in Colombia suffered a slight decrease in its value. For this Tuesday the price is 4,144.63 pesos, which is equivalent to a decrease of 0.17% compared to the previous day (6.92 Pesos).
The TRM decreased by 0.03% (1.09 Pesos) compared to the same day of the previous year, but increased by 8.15% (312.37 Pesos) compared to the same day of the previous month. In the last week, it registered an increase of 4.15%%, which is why it still has an increase of 0.98% for a year.
The Bank of the Republic, at the beginning of 2024, had indicated that the behavior of the dollar would be exposed to broad instability, due to factors that take place at the national and international level and that it will probably stabilize in the short term.
By the end of this, always guided by the entity’s data, the value will be $4,081 pesos per dollar on average, an encouraging outlook since it will be far from the peaks recorded during the first months of 2023. The country closed May 2024 with an annual inflation of 7.16% and the interest rate is quite high compared to other countries (11.75%).
