The fear and anxiety in the population due to the actions of armed groups in rural areas of Segovia and Remedios does not cease and There is concern about a recent case of kidnapping in this area of ​​Northeast Antioquia.

According to what a resident of the area reported to Blu Radio, The events occurred in the Rancho Quemado village where in the early hours of this Monday, June 24, armed men, apparently from the Gulf Clan, installed a checkpoint on the outskirts. and then they entered the hamlet, taking two young men who were identified as Fidel Yesid Baldovino and Víctor Pulgarín Buitrago from their homes.

“They take young people from their homes, from their families and take them, beating them and insulting them, towards an unknown road. A verification commission has searched for them but They have not been able to find the whereabouts of the group or the boys, which is why they fear the worst,” he said.

According to the source, There were no known previous threats against the young people who were dedicated to artisanal mining in the territory and for whom these armed men specifically came asking questions. that took a hitherto unknown direction.
